Security

Role based authentication is a method of controlling access to functions based on a users "role", rather than his identity. Users might be defined "Author" role and an "Editor" role. An "Author" might have permission to create new stories, but not to publish them. An Editor would have permission to review and modify, and publish existing stories. Any given user might "belong" to one or more roles on a permanent basis, or might be temporarily granted role authorization during a given session. But critically, permissions and capabilities are never assigned directly to users, but instead always assigned to roles.


Digital Dashboard System.

A Digital Dashboard is an electronic interface that aggregates and visualizes data from multiple sources, such as databases, locally hosted files, and web services. Dashboards allow you to monitor your business performance by displaying historical trends, actionable data, and real-time information. This could include – CCMA arbitrations, disciplinary processes and outcomes, trends, compensation, settlements, litigation costs. This dashboard provides a 360° view, a complete look of the company’s Employee Relations and the workplace – in one glance. This should include the current state of the business, but it is also helpful to look at data from the past to display trends over time


Workflows and Tasks and Collaboration



W e Design custom workflows according to your policies and procedures. We assist with task management by creating easy to-do templates that will populate various users or your own list. This in turn will streamline communication, and automate routine tasks to efficiently manage your daily work. The task-based workflow simply requires users to assign tasks and deadlines to one another as work needs to be completed. This works just like any traditional to-do application or task list. Tasks are listed in the order that they need to be completed, and users check them off as they are done.

Each user, once logged, in will see their calendar which will show events to be completed, dates and time-lines. This calendar will be pre populated by processes like hearings and CCMA templates. In addition, templates are available to generate to-do items for any team member and this will be populated on that members to-do list which forms part of his calendar.

Reporting and Charts



A great deal of work will be generated across your full business development lifecycle. In the process, it accumulates and creates lots of information. Reporting and analytics puts this information at your fingertips and gives you the visibility and insight you need about your business activity. The following report types are available -

  • Drilldown

This method presents data in a clean graphical format. When you click on an area and you drill down into the supporting data. You can present the information in a funnel, column, bar, pie or line style.

  • Tabular Reports

You can generate reports that are Filtered and display the information with Grouping, Column Totalling and further display details. They can use Search to dynamically filter the results based upon a specific piece of information in any field or they can set specific filter criteria. (Filter by region, offence, gender etc.)



Master Calendar with To-Do List

Example, to-do lists are great for making sure all your tasks and chores get done, but calendars keep you on track and get you where you need to be. Calendars often don't make great to-do lists because they're time-centric by nature, while to-do lists make lousy calendars because most of the time they don't have a component for time. The middle ground says you'd set up a calendar with only time- or date-dependent events, like "Union Meeting." The to-do list is where to put untimed actions like "change the file permissions." Sure, you could put all your tasks on a calendar, but you run the risk that your day will spiral out of control.

The calendar will be automatically pre-populated by various template information, contain arbitration and hearing dates and this information will be emailed in advance to all selected employees. For those without email facilities, the message will be hand delivered or any other feasible way.

Processes and Flowcharts

These are designed to assist employers in ensuring they properly understand all the steps necessary in dealing with a process like disciplinary/grievance etc.; if you follow all the steps this should help protect you from having to defend an unfair dismissal – or at least allow you to defend an unfair dismissal effectively. Even with guidance, making sure a disciplinary is fair and balanced can be difficult and this is where teamwork and peer review is important. At any stage of a process, documents are available for review. Methods are available that ensure the work is approved and signed off. This is accomplished by check boxes from the user with the relevant roles and permissions.

Interactive flowcharts are available in the form of a flow chart tree. Not all the options are visible on the page. As the user goes through the flowchart and answers questions, more details are revealed until they ultimately get to the completion of the flow that they have selected.

Templates to Capture Information.

With the exact purpose of the template established, we design the template around achieving these outputs and ensure that the necessary data is included and, equally important, that any unnecessary data is excluded. We ensure templates are friendly and easy with pull down menu like regions, offences, dates and emails.

We use our existing case law as help files to ensure fairness and compliance and to skill our users on best practices by providing a huge ongoing library of supporting material.

W e have a written agreement with the CCMA to publish all awards including from the Bargaining Councils. We capture all court cases up to the Constitutional Court. With this vast library we can do the following -

Extract all cases from the company.

Create a database of these cases and further extract information including -

  • Amount of cases in different regions/depots/units/

  • Cases won versus cases lost

  • Group cases via offences/regions/date/outcome

  • View the compensation paid per year/region/offence etc.

This will create a historical view of the performance of the company but will also serve as a knowledge base. This places our services in a vital position to ensure all future cases are recorded and analysed for management and planning purposes. All Labour Legislation, Case updates and highlights of any importance are regularly emailed to users. We ensure that users are constantly kept abreast of the Labour Laws.

Saving Costs.

Once you are able to view what you have paid for in compensation or settlements in the past, it is easy to have aspirations that this area could be improved. It is not unreasonable to firstly see the impact that case law can have on this area. It is also not far fetched to view every compensation paid as unnecessary. This is our view and we have designed the system to make full use of our expertise to minimise costs.

Once he courts have distinguished between historical inconsistency and contemporaneous inconsistency. We ensure that we provide all previous case law from the company prior to the completion of an investigation. This will confirm or reject the adherence to this principle. Our Labour law jurisprudence is thus critical to ensuring compliance and cost saving.

Hosting

Your software hosting will be at a secure data center. It includes redundant or backup power supplies, redundant data communications connections, environmental controls (e.g., air conditioning, fire suppression) and various security devices. You will also own your website address (URL)

We recognise the need for payment options as this should fit the needs and resources of the company. To this end we have two models to evaluate -

The Annual License

The capital cost are spread evenly over the life of a 3- year contract.   Ownership of the software is granted after 3 years. A fee of 10% per annum of the capital cost for hosting, support and case law.

The Perpetual License

Upfront payment of the capital cost, one-time purchase of the licenses and then you own the software package forever (in perpetuity). A fee of 10% per annum of the capital cost for hosting, support and case law.
